                     MEGAT Mission   
 

The MEGAT Mission is to further the common good of gifted education in the State of Maine by supporting the development of programs for gifted and talented youth in Maine.

Disseminating news and information to professionals interested in gifted and talented youth.

Fostering the professional growth of educators in order to serve the needs of gifted and talented youth. Recognize outstanding accomplishments in the area of giftedness.

MEGAT Region Information
​Each region has 2 representatives to the board headed by the president & past president.
The board meets 4 times a year and each region holds follow up meetings to disseminate information. The board is the liaison to the DOE and the Commissioner of Education. The consultant to the DOE is a member of the board.
